For Jasmine Moore, a business systems analyst interning at Koch Industries this year, the end of summer is bittersweet. While the University of Kansas undergrad is ready to head back to campus, she’ll be leaving with work experience – and new life experiences – from her time spent in Wichita, Kansas.
“Interning here at Koch has taught me a lot about myself and my own capabilities,” said Moore. “I think my biggest takeaway from this summer is that opportunity isn’t limited by your experience or skillset, but instead by the effort and attitude you bring to each situation.”
In this blog post shared by the Greater Wichita Partnership at ChooseWichita.com, Moore reflects on friendships forged in the workplace, a summer spent in an unfamiliar city, and why Wichita – home to Koch Industries – actually ended up being her ideal destination.
