What will the future of 3D metal manufacturing look like? For Chase Koch, president of Koch Disruptive Technologies, the technology has many applications.
That’s why KDT recently led a $160 million investment in Desktop Metal to continue the company’s transformation of traditional manufacturing.
“The thing that’s exciting about it is it applies to almost any market. Agriculture, medical devices, and electronics as well,” Koch told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” in a live interview Thursday morning.
Ric Fulop, co-founder and CEO of Desktop Metal, also joined Koch for the segment. Discussing KDT’s decision to invest, Koch explained how Desktop Metal’s technology could be “highly transformative” to multiple Koch companies.
He also discussed other issues of importance to the company, including ongoing efforts to improve communities.
