INVISTA celebrates one million hours injury-free

August 27, 2013

This month, INVISTA Camden employees completed 1 million hours without an OSHA recordable injury—an industry milestone.

“This outstanding accomplishment demonstrates our employees’ continued focus on a safe work environment and proves that injury-free work is achieved one task at a time,” said Paul Liddle, INVISTA Camden site manager. “All employees should be proud of this achievement as it demonstrates their commitment to an injury-free workplace, consistent with INVISTA’s strong commitment to excellence in environmental, health and safety performance.”

To recognize this achievement, employees celebrated with a southern-style barbecue lunch. The site is now working toward achieving one year without a recordable injury.

This milestone is also significant because of increased activity associated with the installation of new equipment at the site. In October 2013, INVISTA announced a $20 million capital investment—most of which is invested in Camden—into its Performance Surfaces business to better serve its carpet mill customer base located throughout the U.S., specifically in the southeast region. The increased activity at the site further exemplifies employees’ focus and dedication to safety.
