Statement regarding the White House’s newly released tax plan

April 26, 2017

Philip Ellender, president of government and public affairs for Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, issued the following statement today reacting to the White House’s newly released tax plan:

“President Trump’s plan to reduce rates and simplify the tax code is a breath of fresh air. We are especially encouraged by the omission of the border adjustment tax proposed by the House that would simply raise the cost of goods for American consumers while giving tax breaks to large manufacturing businesses like Koch. We will continue to oppose the border adjustment tax – or any tax – that will increase costs to consumers, while supporting proposals that reduce spending and eliminate loopholes and corporate welfare in the tax code.”
